KAYSVILLE PARKS AND RECREATION HAS A POLICY THAT TEAM SWITCHING IS NOT ALLOWED;
T BALL A learn to play program for Boys & Girls, ages 5. Players hit the soft baseball off a stationary tee. all players hit and field. All players bat each inning (outs and runs are not counted). There are no strike outs.
SHETLAND LEAGUE- BOYS 6 YEAR OLD: COACH PITCH A learn to play program for boys age 6. This is a modified baseball program designed to prepare players for “live pitches”.
T-BALL/SHETLAND SEASON DATES/TIME: Games will be scheduled starting in May. Each team will be scheduled for games two nights a week, Tuesday - Friday.
TEAMS: Teams are divided by age with 12-13 players assigned to each team. A coach may turn in a written request for 3 players. You should be contacted directly by your assigned coach by the end of April.
COACHES: Coaches are volunteer Moms, Dads, Siblings, or anyone else with a genuine interest in working with children. It is a job that requires more patience and encouragement than true baseball skills. So if you would like to volunteer do not hesitate simply because the last time you swung a bat it was made of wood. Practice and game equipment will be provided.
PINTO LEAGUE-BOYS 7/8: MACHINE PITCH In this modified baseball program the ball is pitched by a pitching machine to provide the batter a more consistent target. 10 players play in the field. All players are in the batting line up.
SEASON DATES/TIME: Games will be scheduled starting April 27. Each team will be scheduled for games two nights a week, Tuesday - Friday. Pinto Games are played at Ponds Park North.
TEAMS: Pinto Teams are divided by age with 12-13 players assigned to each team. A coach may turn in a written request for 3 players. You should be contacted directly by your assigned coach by April.

SEASON DATES/TIME: Games will be scheduled beginning April 20. Each team will be scheduled for games Tuesday through Friday. League games are played at Gailey Park.
TEAMS: Mustang Teams are divided by age with 12-13 players assigned to each team. A coach may turn in a written request for 3 players. You should be contacted directly by your assigned coach by April.
COACHES: Coaches are volunteer Moms, Dads, Siblings, or anyone else with a genuine interest in working with children. BRONCO LEAGUE-11/12 boys Bronco league baseball is "real" baseball. Players pitch, and nine players take up standard positions in the field.
SEASON DATES/TIME: Games will be scheduled beginning April 20. Each team will be scheduled for games Tuesday through Friday. League games are played at The Barnes Park Complex.
TEAMS/COACHES: Coaches will have their son, their assistant coaches son, then the remaining players are chosen in a coaches draft. All players participate in a PLAYERS TRY OUT -- SATURDAY, MARCH 27 2010, 9:00 A.M. AT THE BARNES SPORTSPLEX. All players will hit some balls, run to first and catch fly balls and grounders, while the coaches observe. Coaches will meet immediately following the try outs for the draft. Coaches will draw numbers and will select the 12 year old boys first, and then the 11 year old boys will be drafted. You should be notified by your coach by April 2, 2010.
PONY LEAGUE-13/14 boys Pony league baseball is "real" baseball. Players pitch, and nine players take up standard positions in the field.
SEASON DATES/TIME: Games will be scheduled beginning in May. Each team will be scheduled for games Tuesday through Friday.
TEAMS/COACHES Coaches will have their son, their assistant coaches son, then the remaining players are chosen in a coaches draft. Coaches will draw numbers and will select the 14 year old boys first, and then the 13 year old boys will be drafted. You should be notified by your coach by April 5th, 2010.
COLT/PALOMINO LEAGUE - BOYS 15-18 SEASON DATES/TIME: Games will be scheduled beginning in May. Each team will be scheduled for games Monday through Friday. Teams compete with Kaysville teams and surrounding city teams. TEAMS/COACHES: BLIND DRAFT WILL TAKE PLACE TUESDAY APRIL 13, 8PM AT THE RECREATION OFFICE.
